Mission San Miguel

It's not in Mexico although it shares the same name with a town I love.

 Intrigued, I thought it was worth the extra ten minute drive while recently in Paso Robles.

It is a lovely small mission with beautiful interior paintings. 

The church has never been repainted. All the paintings and murals are original. I found the hues surprising for a chapel interior but calming and beautiful.

I confess...

still makes my palms sweaty when I see one of these.

Every Catholic I know made up things to tell the priest in the confessional when they were children.

I have to say for some reason I preferred ten "Our Fathers" to ten "Hail Marys."
